Progenitors is an incomplete article, and should probably be looked at in the future. I'm just sayin'.
This page has a few asterisks that need linking. Gonna have to hop on that at some point, m8.

The Progenitors, also called the First Patrons and The Gods, are a group of extremely powerful, immortal Aurics, whom are responsible for the initial terraforming of Dawngaea, as well as The Exodus. They were the first generation of Auric humans.

They either serve as, or are the parents and ancestors of many Outer Lords, as well as the parents of the many Children of Gaea.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

All of the Progenitors were originally human beings who gained use of untapped magic* prior or during the war on Earth. As such, the thing that is most consistent between them is their unfathomably overwhelming power. This is their defining trait, alongside being the first of humanity to gain the use of Aura.

In terms of their appearances, they are as diverse as humanity would allow for. However, some of the Progenitors, following the terraforming of Dawngaea, created a separation of their mortal and magical sides by locking away the majority of their power in a transformation. This allowed them to live among the people, however it was an extremely dangerous practice for them due to the nature of their excessive power.

Their views toward one another, and humanity as a whole, differed greatly between them. One of the notable viewpoints was a distinct knowledge of one another, while having less knowledge of other human beings. This is directly conflicted by the Progenitors who had a role in the creation of the Children of Gaea. Many show that they are capable of love and compassion, despite the typically nebulousness of their power and countenance.

In conjunction with this, their role in the creation of the Auric strain of the human genome, as well as their transformation of Dawngaea, put many on a pedestal as gods or messiahs. Their views are extremely diverse on this, but falls into a spectrum of outright rejecting these views, to acting exactly as a god would.

However, in the modern day, all of the Progenitors find their power harder to use. Due to a known natural law of Aura, their power is harder to manifest. As such, most do not serve any form of leadership roles, and have isolated themselves from the general populace. There are only* three* known* Progenitors that stay in the public light.

Classifications[edit | edit source]

The classification of different Primordials usually reflected their roles in human societies before and after the fall of old Earth. These classes changed following The Exodus, reflecting a new beginning for all things on the planet.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

The power of a Progenitor is what's most well-known and consistent between them. At their lowest level, a Progenitor has been shown to be able to destroy and reconstruct things on a subatomic level, while their greatest abilities was the literal changing of physical laws within an area. It is because of these facts that all Progenitors are functionally nigh-omnipotent at their peak.

Many of them have something they focus on, such as a field of magic or a concept that they study in detail due to their heightened senses, but it does not mean that they aren't capable of easily manipulating other parts of the universe. Unlike normal Auric power, a Progenitor does not necessarily have the same drawbacks and limitations, and are capable of very easily interfacing with reality.

With that said, their power is still very much limited. In the grand scale of things, they utilized a great deal of their power to terraform Dawngaea's surface and physical laws, and many are actively trying to regain their former power.

Mortality[edit | edit source]

One of the consequences of their power is immortality - all Progenitors made themselves invincible and transcendent in the past to accomplish their goals, but the power they expended removed many of those protections. It is known that Progenitors can be killed through sufficiently powerful means, but they are not affected by time.

Afflictions differ in that it is easily found and purged by them, so its effects can only stay if the Progenitor wishes it.

As of now, there are only five known Progenitors out of the original sixty that are known to have died.
